VINNY Living Lab bridges research and practice in Austria
VINNY Project partner WGS hosted a Living Lab on December 9th at the HBLA and BA Klosterneuburg, Agnesstraße, Austria, effectively advancing its mission for sustainable viticulture.
The central aim of the day was to bridge the gap between the lab and the field, guaranteeing that the latest developments and research results from the VINNY Project are directly accessible to winemakers, the wider agricultural community, and stakeholders beyond the scientific sphere.
The event successfully convened 64 participants, including vine growers, advisors, scientists, and industry employees. This turnout demonstrated a unified commitment to the Project's goals, firmly reinforcing the practical importance of VINNY’s research for the entire sector.
To facilitate this knowledge transfer, the program featured presentations and intensive discussions. These sessions were led by specialists from various prestigious institutions, including HBLA und BA Klosterneuburg, BOKU Wien and Landwirtschaftskammer Niederösterreich.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in productive discussions and valuable knowledge exchange, complemented by display tables showcasing material from the Project's key experiments.
This high level of collaboration and shared vision marked a significant step forward in accelerating the transfer of sustainable agricultural practices directly from research to real-world vineyard implementation.
